Timothy Griffin, M.E.Des.
Founder, President and CEO
The founder and President of Userful Corporation, Tim holds a Masters Degree in Industrial Design from the University of Calgary. He is a serial entrepreneur, having led various consulting, research, and design companies.
In his years before founding Userful, Tim conducted pioneering research into laptop and input device design. He also performed and taught as a professional cellist and co-authored a book on the subject.
Daniel Griffin, B.A., B.Ed.
VP Public Computing

In addition to Daniel's role as VP of Public Computing, he is also a member of Userful's Sales team. Along with his years of sales and customer service experience, Daniel brings years of systems re-engineering, change management and team leadership experience. From 2000-2003, prior to joining Userful, he led the project to integrate LexisNexis' print and electronic delivery departments and systems. The successful project retrained 110 FTEs and integrated three product delivery systems. Also while at LexisNexis, Daniel managed a team of 11 FTEs responsible for delivery of $3 million in products and a budget of $750,000.
Laurie Reeves, B.Sc.
Manager of Product Development

Laurie's university research into multi-user Linux extensions helped lay the foundation stones of Userful's products. His broad-reaching grasp of operating systems, networking technology, hardware, and the internals of Userful's products provides him with the depth needed to tackle the challenges of change. Laurie continues to lead product development and provides vital guidance to our technology vision.
Menwin Gatus
Manager of Software Craftsmanship
Menwin has been developing software professionally since 1989 for Nortel, Pacific Blue Cross, and other clients. A former educator, he taught university courses in Computer Science and Software Engineering. Menwin's tenacious insistence on producing effective, quality software has resulted in a number of successful projects over the years. He is now involved in efforts to improve Userful's flagship products.
Maxwell Prince
Manager of Operations

An entrepreneur and business manager at heart, Max started his first retail business at age 18. Since then, he has owned, co-owned and managed numerous businesses including a bookstore, spa and salon, cafe, restaurant, and call center. Max manages the back end of the company ensuring the business runs smoothly. He studied computer programming and bookkeeping in school and continues to dabble in code.

Peter Kinash
Peter is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years experience working with emerging and established technology companies. He served as CFO of Wi-LAN Inc., a leading designer, developer and supplier of broadband wireless IP networks. Prior tot hat Peter led the Calgary technology practice of KPMG, assisting a wide range of technology companies with issues related to strategy, alliance partners, financing, and securities and tax in Canada and the US.
Peter's technology clients were involved in over $3 billion of equity, merger and debt transactions in the late 1990s. He is frequently sought out to speak and write about his experiences with corporate finance and emerging technology companies.
Peter has been involved in many initiatives related to the Alberta technology community including the Calgary Emerging and Technology Company Investment Symposium, the ViaTech initiative, and the Alberta Science and Technology Board of Directors, where he serves as Treasurer and Vice Chair.
