Key Milestones: End-of-Life Timeline

  • May 15, 2025 Official End of Life (EOL) Notification
  • November 15, 2025 End of Migration Support
  • January 31, 2026 Complete End of Support

Why This Matters

After January 31, 2026, Userful will no longer provide security patches for the Visual Networking Platform. This decision is driven by two critical changes beyond our control:
  1. Red Hat has ended support for the operating system that powers the platform.
  2. Elite Silicon has discontinued support for the firmware and drivers used by Zero Clients, which are commonly deployed by our customers.
Without ongoing security updates, any newly discovered vulnerabilities will remain unpatched — creating serious risks for organizations in regulated industries, critical infrastructure, or environments where IT and OT systems are integrated.

A Critical Update for Existing Customers

Userful is formally announcing the End-of-Life (EOL) of the Userful Visual Networking Platform (11x) in alignment with our product lifecycle policy and strategic shift toward the Userful Infinity Platform.

To ensure continued support, security, and access to new innovations, a required upgrade to Userful Infinity must be completed during 2025. This upgrade is aligned with the terms of our subscription service and is essential for maintaining operational integrity.

Frequently Asked Questions

We’re happy with VNP—do we really need to change?

We totally get that. VNP has been a reliable solution for a long time. But support will officially wind down:
  • March 31, 2026→ last security patch
  • December 31, 2026 → end of all support
After that, there won’t be security updates or fixes. That means any future issues could leave your systems exposed or unsupported—especially for critical infrastructure or regulated environments. So while you don’t need to switch overnight, we strongly recommend starting the planning process now, so everything can be done smoothly and on your timeline.

Will I need to buy all new hardware?

In many cases—no. Infinity is software-defined, so it works with a lot of existing hardware. And if any upgrades are needed, we’ll help you identify only what’s essential. You won’t be locked into a costly hardware refresh.Plus, we offer preferred pricing for long-time customers. We’ll do everything we can to make this upgrade easy on your budget.

Will the upgrade disrupt our day-to-day?

Not at all. We’ve mapped out a clean, low-risk upgrade process:
  • 1. Pre-Migration Planning – We define scope and create a checklist together
  • 2. Parallel Test Environment – You can test Infinity without touching your current setup
  • 3. Backup & Rollback Plan – Full safety net, just in case
  • 4. Deployment & Training – We handle the heavy lifting and support your team hands-on
The goal is to make this feel like an upgrade, not a disruption.

What does Infinity actually do for us?

Great question. Think of it as one powerful platform that replaces everything VNP did—and adds a lot more:
  • Manage your video walls, dashboards, signage, and remote ops—all from one place
  • Lower your long-term costs (we’re serious about this one)
  • Enhanced security—with role-based access control, air-gapped options, and private cloud compatibility.
  • Integrate with tools you already use: Power BI, Tableau, Epic, Salesforce, ServiceNow, and more

Do we need to decide right now?

We recommend starting the conversation sooner rather than later. The earlier we plan together, the more control you have over timing, budget, and setup. We’re here to help make the move to Infinity smooth, smart, and on your terms.
